5^TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

Deadline:     All pre-convention registration, resolutions, and delegate lists must be submitted by April 15, 2015.

Time:  1:30 P.M.       Registration opens

2:00 P.M.       Convention Starts

Registration cost : Prior to date of convention, $15 per person for all delegates, alternates, and guests; $20 at the door on April 26, 2014. Please make your checks payable to 5^th Congressional District and mail to Rod Bartlow, 5^th C.D. Treasurer, 2780 Hwy. CC, Slinger WI 53086 by April 21. You may also pay by using Act Blue, more information on paying by Act Blue will follow in the coming weeks.

Delegate list, alternates, and guests: Please e-mail your delegate and alternates list as well as the number of any other guests to Michael Schlotfeldt, 5^th C.D. Chair, ( [email protected] ) by April 15 so that we can get an accurate head count. If you have questions about the number of delegates for your county, please check with Sean Berger at DPW ([email protected]).

Elections: 5^th C.D. Chair, 1^st Vice Chair, 2^nd Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Sargent at arms, Administration Representative and Platform & Resolutions positions (3 year and 1 year alternate) will be elected at the convention. Nomination of a candidate for a District Party office may be made from the floor by a delegate. Nomination must have prior consent of the nominee; failure to obtain such prior consent shall invalidate the nomination of the person so nominated.

Resolutions: Each county party may submit up to 10 resolutions. In order to be considered at the convention, resolutions must be submitted to the chair by April 15

1. Each resolution must consist of no more than 100 words, not counting the words in the title.
2. The title of each resolution must include subject matter of the resolution, name of the county party, and number of words.
3. Each line must be numbered.
4. Each resolution must have at least one preamble statement beginning with the word “Whereas.”
5. Each resolution must have at least one concluding statement beginning with the word “Resolved.”
